Why Dr Daood

An experienced hair transplant doctor in Sydney

A hair transplant is elective. The right first step is a consultation that tells you honestly whether it will serve you, with a doctor qualified to say so.

One doctor, start to finish

Your consultation, hairline planning and procedure are with Dr Jassim Daood himself, not a rotating team you meet on the day.

ISHRS member

Dr Daood is a member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery, the leading international body for the field.

30+ years of surgical experience

A career across Australia, New Zealand, the United States and Europe, spanning several surgical disciplines before focusing on cosmetic practice.

Consultation before commitment

A GP referral, an honest suitability assessment, written costs and a cooling-off period come before any procedure is booked.

The procedure

How a hair transplant works

Every case follows the same careful process, from honest assessment to gradual regrowth. The technique itself, FUE or FUT, is recommended at your consultation based on your scalp and goals.

01

Consultation & assessment

Your scalp, donor area and pattern of hair loss are examined, suitability is assessed honestly, and written costs follow before anything is booked.

02

Technique & design

Dr Daood recommends the approach that suits you, FUE or FUT, and plans the hairline, beard, brow or target area with you before any graft is placed.

03

The procedure

Follicular units are moved from the donor area to the planned area under local anaesthetic, as a day procedure at the Bankstown clinic.

04

Regrowth & review

Transplanted hair sheds in the first weeks, then new growth develops gradually over many months, with reviews along the way.

Is it right for you?

Eligibility assessment comes before surgery

A transplant moves hair; it does not create new hair. It tends to work best when:

  • Your hair loss is patterned and has been stable for some time
  • Your donor area at the back and sides is dense and healthy
  • You are in good general health
  • You hold realistic expectations about density and timeframes

Recovery is gradual: a careful first week, shedding of the transplanted hairs in the early weeks, then new growth over many months. If a transplant is not appropriate, Dr Daood will tell you so plainly.

All surgical and invasive procedures carry risk. Outcomes vary between individuals and no specific result can be guaranteed. Before proceeding, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner. A GP referral is required for cosmetic surgery consultations.
